FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much is my import car going to cost?

A: Because the market is always changing, I try to use many resources to gauge market value of a certain vehicle or vehicles you are interested in. My goal is ultimately to get my clients the best deal possible in purchasing their dream cars. I charge a flat fee on the imports which I discuss with every client, based on the level of service I am providing.

Q: When do I pay?

A: I like to sit down with my client and set an idea budget for each vehicle they're looking to purchase and import. Once we've set that budget, I ask a deposit to be made before I start sourcing a car through the auction or my dealer network. For me this is a security, and for the client its a commitment. Once a car is secured, however much the remainder on the price we purchase the car for regardless of budget, is how much is settled up for upon a succesful bid.

Q: Is my deposit refundable?

Absolutely, the deposit you pay is only held on to as a security for the case that a car is purchased on your behalf. Until then, it remains your money and if you change your mind or something arises, funds will be returned to you within 14 days. Once a car is purchased for you, the deposit funds are used to pay for the vehicle. If you choose to cancel your purchase after the vehicle has been secured, the deposit is no longer refundable and the car is forfeited.

Q: How do I know I'm not getting a bad car?

A: The nature of bidding on a car in another country presents many risks. Part of my job is minimizing those risks for my clients. I try to go above and beyond in my inspections making sure we obtain close examination reports, photos, and videos to suppliment the basic auction sheet report that most importers base their entire condition assesment off of. This gives me a much higher level of detail oriented analysis of each car so that I can present my client with as much info as possible before committing to a vehicle.

Q: How long does it take for a car to arrive once purchased?

A: It is typically estimated between 7-8 weeks. Any delays will be communicated and you will be kept updated as best as possible on all changes as well as occassional progress reports with photos keeping you informed where the car is and what the estimated timelines are.
