The 180SX Fastback is the sister model to the S13 Silvia. The 180SX was initially launched in 1989 with the Series 1, equipped with a CA18 engine. It wasn't until the 1991 Series 2 the powerplant was changed out with the more popular SR20 motor. In addition to a facelift for the 1991 year model, the car was also upgraded to have a Viscous LSD as well as larger brakes standard from the factory. The 180SX was offered in Type I and Type II trims. The Type I was the basic trim while the Type II was equipped with more modern amenities such as a rear wiper, power windows, and central locking.
This 180SX is a failry unmodified with very basic upgrades. Visually the exterior look has been made more aggressive with an aero package to the Front, Side, and Rear. The Type X Spoiler looks right at home on this 180SX, complimenting the rest of the aero package. Overall in outstanding shape, the exterior was freshened up with a fresh coat of the OEM Obsidian Black paint, fixing a lot of the fading that occurs when a vehicle is kept outside. Unfortunately, the dash of this car has indeed fallen victim to the common cracking issue, so it is best to cover with a mat or repair by flocking.
