In 1988 Nissan introduced the S13 Silvia as the coupe bodied sister model to the S13 180SX hatchback. In North America we would only see the S13 as the 240SX coupe and hatchback, both featuring the pop up headlight front end of the 180SX. The japanese Silvia model exclusively featured fixed headlights rather than flip up / flip down headlights. Projector headlights were offered as an option, in either Dual or Triple Projectors. This Silvia is of the K's trim package. The different trim packages offered were the K's, Q's, and J's, likened to a deck of cards where you would have Kings, Queens, and Jacks. The K's trim featured the turbocharger, limited slip differential, and some models featured optional HICAS 4-Wheel Steering.
This Silvia is very unique in its appearance, featuring an authentic Rocket Bunny V1 kit by TRA Kyoto. The hood has been upgraded to a vented one to compliment the rest of the cars aero upgrades and lastly the car was finished in a gorgeous light blue to tie it all together.
The cars drivetrain has some nice Nismo upgrades to increase the sporty feel of this cars driving experience. Starting at the differential, the car is equipped with a Nismo Limited Slip Differential which is a huge step up from the factory Viscous LSD. Moving forward the transmission mounts and engine mounts were both upgraded to stiffer Nismo ones, providing a slightly more responsive feeling to the throttle and gear shifting.
The suspension has also received some very careful attention in its upgrading. The car sits on FEAL Coilovers outfitted with SWIFT Springs, complimented with some adjustable linkages from Cusco, including the Front Tension Rods, Rear Toe Arms, and Rear Upper Control Arms. The result is a very tunable suspension, that can be adjusted for many different setups according to driver preference. The entire chassis is also braced by a 7-point roll cage.
The engine management electronics are unmodified, only being supplimented by an APEXi Speed meter to readout the speed of the car and engine RPMs on a digital graph. The engine itself is largely unmodified save for a K&N Intake Cone Filter and a full ISR racing specification exhaust system.
