To the best of my knowledge, the Toyota Celsior is one of the most well known big body sedans Lexus has manufactured right next to the Aristo and Altezza. While these three cars were sold in the US under the Lexus name, their Japanese market counterparts carried the Toyota badge. In 1997 the Celsior received some very nice changes, including the addition of VVTi to the 1UZFE engine and somewhat of a tuneup, increasing its power output from 260hp to 290hp and adding 30 ft lbs of torque. The automatic transmission was also revised from a 4-speed to a 5-speed. The exterior of the car was changed somewhat to modernize the appearance of the Celsior for the new millenia.
The interior of this Celsior sports a clean cloth interior in near perfect condition. The exterior paint shows few signs of wear over the ages, but overall shines like new. The engine bay, healthy and happy, remains unmodified and running incredibly well. With very little mileage on this Celsior, there is plenty of life to still be lived with it, and with the incredibly reliable nature of toyota vehicles it should have a many more years of driving ahead of it.
