*Sold* 1997 Toyota Chaser Tourer V JZX100

The Toyota Chaser has been known as one of the 'triplet sedans' of Toyota, because it shares the same chassis with the Toyota Mark II and the Cresta. The Chaser lineup consisted mostly of Avante and Tourer trims, with the Avante as the luxury model and the Tourer models being the sportier trims. This Chaser is a Tourer V model, the only trim equipped with the turbo 1JZ-GTE engine.

When I first purchased this particular JZX100 I truthfully did not expect such an amazing car as what arrived. At first the Ebony Teal paint seemed to be dull and in need of some work, but after meticulous detailing it came to life. The Teal became much more visible in the light, giving the car a gorgeous deep green hue. The wheels that came equipped are OEMs from an R32 Skyline but have since been changed to bronze Advan AVS Model 5's, a tastefully classic choice for the JZX100 body. The car came equipped with DMAX tail lights, which have most certainly grown on me.

Climbing into this Chaser is such a treat, as the interior sports a incredibly driver oriented feel. With pristine Recaro Le Mans Confetti seats, a Razo Shifter Knob, Razo Pedals, Momo Sport wheel, and gorgeous blue checker floor mats, the feeling of sitting in the cockpit seat is completely different from that of the factory Tourer V configuration. For visuals, the aftermarket stereo unit features video for entertainment while the triple Defi Gauges display important engine data in realtime. Everything comes together giving the driver a comfortable yet inspiring feeling. To top it all off this Chaser was equipped from the factory with a sunroof, adding that much more to the fun of driving it.

The rest of the car is very delicately modified with small upgrades such as a Kakimoto Exhaust System giving it a rich full tone at idle and during a WOT pull. In the suspension, the soft ride of the Blitz Damper ZZ-R Coilvers makes for an incredibly comfortable and luxurious street driving experience, while maintaining good dampening settings for providing an agile steering response. All this packaged together has resulted in such a well rounded car that in every way exceeded my expectations.
