*Sold* 1999 Nissan Silvia Spec R

The Nissan Silvia S15 has been a sought after car by many car lovers and S-Chassis enthusaists, so I purchased this car in order to really find out why. The Nissan Silvia S15 followed the very loved S14 Silvia generation that brought many great improvements from the highly capable S13 platform. The way I look at it is the S15 is a much more refined S14. Sharing much of the previous chassis from the S14, the S15 brings a very stylistic update both exterior and interior, making the car feel much sportier than its predecessor. The engine also recieved an upgraded Dual Ball Bearing Garrett turbocharger improving the response over the previous ceramic wheel turbocharger featured in the S13 and S14 chassis. The engine is a notchtop SR20DET which is the same from the prior S14 generation, yet different from the S13's SR20 because of the Variable Cam Timing head.

The S15 trims can be summed up with two options. Spec S and Spec R. The Spec S is the standard trim with a naturally aspirated SR20DE and the option of either a 4-Speed Automatic or 5-Speed Manual. The Silvia Spec R features the must have SR20DET turbocharged engine paired standard with a 6-Speed Manual. In addition to those major features, the Spec R also comes equipped with additional chassis braces across the car front to back under and within the frame around the pillars and trunk. The Spec R also features larger Sumitomo Z32-sized brakes compared to the Spec S's standard S14-sized brakes. 

This S15 Silvia has been absolutely fantastic. Albeit being a gem, I've put some time in the drivers seat enjoying this car. Before doing so I had the car fully inspected at Mad Russians Garage, a very skilled JDM Specialist shop in Lakewood, Colorado. The car was flawless other than some slight oil moisture around the timing cover which is fairly common with SR engines and very fortunate for a car that has been driven so little over 25 years. The most obvious factor in the desirability of this car is the low mileage. It has under 55,000km at the time of writing this post, which puts it at under 35,000 miles. Everything on the car works and feels incredibly solid when driving. I have to say this car really is such a treat. The only modifications to the car are the Blitz Air Filter, JASMA performance exhaust, Recaro Driver Seat, Momo Steering Wheel, Nismo Shift Knob, and the Crystal Lens Tail Lights. The car will include an additional set of DMAX Smoked LED Tail Lights should these tail lights not suit any interested buyers. The car currently sits on 18x8" Bronze XXR wheels with 235/40/R18 Firestone Indy 500 tires, a very popular choice for sporty coupes to drive on in the summer, providing plenty of good grip.
